JAMMU, Dec 5: Pakistan army today again violated ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) by firing few mortars and resorting to firing with small and automatic weapons at village Khamba in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
Reports said that Pakistan army opened firing at village Khamba at 5.30 pm followed by mortar shelling. About eight to nine mortar shells landed at the village but failed to cause any casualties or damage.
The Indian side retaliated effectively, leading to exchanges that continued for one and a half hour after which shelling and firing stopped.
Pakistan had repeatedly been violating ceasefire in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch for past quite some time now. The Indian side has been retaliating effectively.
