Srinagar, Aug 6: Pakistan troops fired at Indian posts in Kamalkote sector of Uri in North Kashmir this afternoon. Army deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) also fired back. However, there was no loss of life.
Sources said that the firing along the LoC in Kamalkote comes hours after 5 Army personnel were killed in Poonch when a Pakistan Border Action Team ambushed an Army patrol on LoC.
Sources said that Pakistani troops fired at Raja, Pather and Buchar in Kamalkote area of Uri. Army also returned the fire. However, there was no loss of life.
Army had been firing intermittently in Kamalkote sector of the LoC as they have found militants conducting reconnaissance in the sector. Sources said that one militant was critically injured when Army fired at a group of them who were conducting reconnaissance infiltration.
