JAMMU, Sept 13: Pakistan Army again resorted to heavy firing on forward Indian positions at village Kalsa in Nato area of Poonch sector late last night but failed to cause any casualties or damage on Indian side.
This was second incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army yesterday in Poonch sector. During the day, Pakistan had opened firing and violated ceasefire at Balakote by resorting to firing on forward posts for one hour while in the night, the fired at Kalsa in Nato area from their Raja Rani post.
Pakistan firing at Kalsa started at 10.30 pm last night and continued for about one hour. Indian side retaliated after which firing stopped from across the Line of Control (LoC).
Official sources said Pakistan Army had stepped up incidents of firing in violation of ceasefire agreement hoping to push trained militants into this side from the LoC.
During past few days, a number of incidents of firing by the Pakistan Army have been reported in the border district of Poonch.
