Moreover, the terror facilities are now being raised by Pakistan to accommodate small number of terrorists like 20 to 30 like previously when 70 to 80 terrorists used to be trained in one centre. This too is being done to keep the terror training facilities secret to best possible extent.
Terrorist commanders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), The Resistance Front and Hizbul Mujahideen have been taken on board by Pakistan army and ISI for training of the terrorists at the new facilities which are mostly located in Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK), inputs received by the Intelligence agencies revealed.
“Some of the terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir who have now been operating from PoJK are also assisting Lashkar and Jaish commanders and Pakistani agencies in rebuilding the terror infrastructure and training of terrorists,” the sources said, adding that Pakistan army is using radar, satellite signatures and mask thermal to keep the facilities under strict guard in case of any fresh attack by the Indian Armed Forces.
India, it may be mentioned, has made it clear that Operation Sindoor under which the Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and PoJK from May 6-10 killing several terrorists and destroying training camps, has only been suspended.
“Pakistan army and ISI has chosen new terror training centres at places like Athmuqam, Sardi, Lipa, Kotli, Kahuta, Jankote and Chamankot in PoJK which are surrounded by forests and small mountains and where it is easy to hide the terrorists and keep them for long time,” the sources said.
They added that the training camps are being guarded by Pakistan army personnel equipped with advanced surveillance equipments including Turkish-made drones to ward off any attack.
During Operation Sindoor, the training camps of terrorists in PoJK areas including Umranwali, Chhota Chak, Luni, Tipu Post, Putwal, Chaprar, Jamil Post etc were destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed while their weapons and explosives caught fire.
During past about 10 days, there have been two infiltration attempts by the terrorists on the Line of Control (LoC) in Keri sector of Rajouri district resulting into killing one terrorist each in the two bids. Rest of the terrorists retreated after observing troops on high alert.
“Possibility of these terrorists, believed to be Pakistanis, having been trained in new camps is not ruled out,” the sources said.
There have been reports that top commanders of JeM, LeT, TRF and Hizbul Mujahideen held a secret meeting at undisclosed location at Bahawalpur with Pakistan army and ISI officials in which final touches were given to terrorist training and procedures to be adopted to keep the process away from the eyes of Indian Armed Forces.
Bahawalpur headquarter of Jaish-e-Mohammed was also destroyed by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor.
Sources said the Indian Armed Forces have been watching the activities of terrorists in Pakistan and PoJK and have accordingly been maintaining very high alert on the LoC as well as International Border.
