JAMMU, May 1: Jammu and Kashmir BJP Minority Morcha President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa today said that the incident was a calculated attempt by terrorists and their handlers in Pakistan to sow communal discord between Hindus and Muslims. However, he asserted, the perpetrators have miserably failed in achieving their objective.
Addressing the Sikh sangat during a special prayer service held at Gurudwara Fateh Singh in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Nalwa said that the people of India have once again demonstrated unity and resilience in the face of terrorism. The prayer meeting was organized to pay tribute and offer prayers for the peace of the departed souls who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack.
“The attack was aimed at disturbing communal harmony, but our society stands united against such nefarious designs. The entire nation mourns the loss of innocent lives and stands firmly with the bereaved families,” Nalwa said.
He added that the enemies of peace, sponsored and supported by Pakistan, are desperate to destabilize the region by targeting peaceful communities and religious pilgrims. “They want to instill fear and hatred, but our message is clear-India will not be divided by such cowardly acts,” he said.
The special prayer service saw the participation of a large number of Sikh community members and local residents, who expressed solidarity with the victims’ families and resolved to stand strong against any attempt to disrupt communal harmony in the Union Territory.
