KATHUA, Nov 17: BJP Vice President and Incharge Kathua, Yudhvir Sethi said that People’s Alliance of Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir, terming it an alliance of opportunist’s political parties which are struggling to regain the lost power in J&K.
While addressing a series of party workers in connection with DDC polls, Sethi said the Alliance of various Kashmiri based mainstream political parties won’t last long in fooling the people of the twin divisions. They have been claiming to bring and develop good governance which they themselves failed to bring for the past 70 years of rule.
“The people are well aware of their tactics and misleading and they won’t fall prey to their traps,” Yudhvir said and added that the same political leaders while being the ministers were drastically failed to stop terrorism in the Kashmir division besides glamourising it and chanting the name of Pakistani from time to time.
“From disrespecting the Tricolor to anti national statements made by the leaders in PAGD, the Alliance would be a headache for the time to come. However, people will eventually keep themselves at bay from being involved in PAGD activities. The people will on their own defeat this Alliance,” Yudhvir said and lambasted it for misleading the people.
“The political parties in PAGD have joined hands to save each other’s political survival. They know what role they had played in J&K’s politics in 70 years. Their autonomy and self-rule has cost heavily to the survival of a royal state,” Sethi added.
Sethi asserted that the aim and wish of BJP is to make Jammu strong and in the forthcoming DDC elections the party would evolve victorious and will defeat the illicit ideas of PAGD.
Sethi said, “BJP has always contested elections on the results of works done and promises done to the people and fulfilled. We have been fulfill our commitments to the masses and that is why we have the trust of people.”
