JAMMU, Jan 8: Police Station Jhajjar Kotli has registered a case against the driver of an overloaded mini-bus after it was found being driven in a rash and negligent manner at Dansal market, posing a serious threat to public safety.
According to police, the mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AD-1265, which was plying from Manwal towards Domail, was spotted carrying passengers in a highly dangerous manner, with several people reportedly seated on the roof of the vehicle. The reckless act not only violated traffic norms but also endangered the lives of passengers and other road users.
Taking cognizance of the incident, police swung into action and initiated legal proceedings against the driver. An FIR Number 02/2026 has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police said further investigation into the matter is underway, and appropriate action will be taken as per law.
