The recent hike and revised rates for passenger transport has come into force with some irregularities by some matador owners.
Some matadors overcharge the passengers thus violate the Govt directive regarding the revised passenger rates set by the Transport Department.
As a fact of matter matadors are charging Rs 8 from the passengers from Bhori Chowk to Lala Da Bagh-which is less than 3 km away from Bhori Chowk.
As per the revised rates and distance the rate from Bhori Chowk to Lala Da Bagh should not exceed Rs 4.50 while as the matadors are charing Rs 8 from the passengers which is total injustice.
The Transport Commissioner is requested to ask the concerned officers to have on the spot checking of matadors to ascertain the fact and direct the concerned matadors to follow the revised rates strictly in future.
