SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 21 : More than 130,000 customers are left without power in the US state of California, according to data from the monitoring service PowerOutage.
As of 01:45 GMT, more than 130,000 customers remain without power in California, 125,000 of which are in San Francisco, data shows.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, a fire broke out at a PG&E Corporation substation, and efforts are underway to extinguish it.
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie said on X that the power outage had affected public transportation and traffic lights. He urged residents to stay home until power is restored.
