JAMMU, July 16: On the 14th day of darshan, over 13,000 pilgrims drawn from different parts of country paid obeisance to naturally formed Ice Shivlingam in Himalayan cave of Shri Amarnath Ji at a height of 3880 meters in South Kashmir district of Anantnag today.
Officials said that 13,212 pilgrims performed darshan at holy cave of Lord Shiva by this evening. With this, the total number of 2,47,213 pilgrims visited Shri Amarnath Ji in last 14 days since the 38-day long annual yatra started on July 3 from twin tracks of Baltal and Nunwan Pahalgam, officials said.
They said among the 13,212 pilgrims 8877 were males, 3798 female 145 children, 70 Sadhus, eight Sadhvis and 314 security personnel. Those who performed the darshan have also started their return journey towards the twin base camps, officials said.

They said 7372 pilgrims returned Domail after darshan at holy cave today while 7031 left Domail early this morning for darshan of cave shrine. They said 7126 pilgrims left for onwards sojourn from Chandanwari early this morning while 5491 pilgrims, proceeded for darshan from Panchtarni, the last transit camp on way to holy cave via Pahalgam track. Over 5000 pilgrims were staying at Panchtarni during last night, officials said, adding there is lot of rush on twin base camps as thousands of pilgrims continue to report daily for their onwards sojourn to holy cave.
Meanwhile, a fresh batch of 6,064 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas here early Wednesday to pay obeisance at the cave shrine of Amarnath Ji in South Kashmir Himalayas, officials said.
The pilgrims, including 1,511 women, left for the twin base camps of Nunwan-Pahalgam in Anantnag and Baltal in Ganderbal in two separate convoys under tight security arrangements.
While 3,593 pilgrims are heading in a convoy of 139 vehicles for Pahalgam base camp, 2471 pilgrims on board 95 vehicles have preferred the Baltal route for their yatra.

The 38-day annual yatra started from the two routes on July 3 and is scheduled to end on August 9, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festival.
An official handout said that Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 is going on seamlessly, and pilgrims are taking darshans of Baba Barfani without any interruption Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir informed today reacting to the false news being circulated on various Social Media Channels that the Yatra has been suspended.
He said as on July 15, more than 2.34 lakh pilgrims have taken darshans, and today on 16th July, pilgrims have proceeded to the holy cave from both the routes without any interruption to perform darshan daily.
All media outlets are advised to verify facts from official sources before publishing or circulating any information regarding the yatra, he added. He appealed public to rely only on official updates for accurate and timely information.
Meanwhile, a woman pilgrim died while three others sustained injuries on Wednesday in a landslide incident along the Baltal route of the Amarnath Yatra in Ganderbal district Four pilgrims were washed downhill by a landslide at Railpathri along the Baltal axis to the holy cave on Wednesday evening, the officials said. The injured were rushed to the Baltal base camp hospital where one woman pilgrim was declared dead on arrival, they said, adding the deceased was identified as Sona Bai (55), a resident of Rajasthan. With this, the death toll in this year’s Amarnath Yatra has risen to 15.
