Our policies, working style creating buzz in Davos: Madhya Pradesh CM

DAVOS, Jan 22: Here to showcase Madhya Pradesh as a perfect investment destination in India, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said the policies and working style of his state have created a strong buzz in the international business community.
Speaking to PTI on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, Yadav said all Indian leaders have come here with the same objective to showcase India’s growth story and maximise investments in our states, provide employment to the youth, alleviate poverty, and make the best use of our resources and engage with the world.
“India should take concrete steps towards making its reputation economically strong. This is a big forum where different types of investors from all over the world meet and there is an opportunity to work in all sectors,” he said.
Yadav said he is satisfied that, over the last two years, his government has taken several steps to attract investment, and that this visit is also in the same direction.
On investment commitments he has received, the chief minister said introducing Madhya Pradesh at this global forum is a big thing, and his delegation has strongly presented its views on what work his government is doing across sectors.
“Our policies and the way of working are such that a buzz has been created and we are benefiting from that,” he added.
Asked about the state’s journey since it’s once ‘Bimaru’ label, Yadav said this has happened due to everyone’s collective efforts and the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“When the country is progressing, the state should also progress. We are moving ahead with the same feeling, and we also worked on our weaknesses. We have abolished unnecessary laws.
“We have implemented reforms, and we have set new targets in every field and gradually we are moving ahead in that direction,” he said. (PTI)
