KISHTWAR, Nov 9: Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board & Minister of State Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi today said that our Educational institutions have become centres of excellence.
He was addressing 120th annual day function of Faridia Educational Institute at Kishtwar as chief guest. She was accompanied by many prominent Government officers and local eminent persons.
Dr Andrabi lauded the achievements of the Institute during the past three years. While congratulating the faculty, administration and the students for academic excellence and overall educational enhancement here, Andrabi emphasized on promotion of the environment of innovation and skill development among the students so that they are able to compete at the global levels.
“This new age demands the Quraan in one hand and Computer in another one. We have to broaden the mental horizons of our students by exposing them to technological and scientific knowledge”, Dr Darakhshan said.
Waqf Board Chairperson said that Waqf Educational system transformed a lot during these three years and in tune with the National Education Policy. “Religious, cultural and modern education are given equal importance in our schools which has benefited the students a lot. Our Board results are exemplary. We are committed to produce future leaders for different sectors of life from our educational institutions”, said Andrabi.
Many cultural demonstrative activities including the annual felicitations were part of the grand event.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kishtwar Mohammad Idrees Lone, Bar Association president Sheikh Naasir Hussain, Waqf Executive Officer Kishtwar Firdaus Ahmad Bhavani, Principal of the Institute Mehboob Ahmad Qazi and other officers of District administration were present on the occasion.
