RAJOURI, Mar 25: District Administration has failed to provide much needed staff and allied facilities to improve functioning of local One Stop Centre (OSC) in Rajouri town.
The One Stop Centre which was started three years ago at Rajouri for the welfare of women is facing shortage of staff. Due to staff shortage, the over all working of this institute is hampering and the functioning of it has been effected badly. The insiders said that the Centre is being run without counselor, Para- legal personnel, Medical assistants etc.
To facilitate justice to women affected by violence, without proper staff at OSC is not possible. Several positions are lying vacant for the last over two years at the Centre.
While the Govt is making tall claims of women empowerment and safeguarding the rights of women, particularly those who are victimized and facing domestic violence , but on the ground level sluggish approach and non seriousness on the part of Administration towards OSC Rajouri, exposes such claims.
