Opposition disrupts House, J&K Assembly adjourned twice

JAMMU : Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was today adjourned twice amid disruptions by the Opposition MLAs from National Conference and Congress over the issue of transfer of mega power projects to the state.

Former chief minister and NC Legislature Party leader Omar Abdullah raised the issue in the House asserting that the Centre has refused to transfer the projects citing legal and financial problems.

He said the PDP-BJP government has failed to meet the agendas of Common Minimum Programme.

However, the Opposition members created ruckus and disrupted the proceedings, forcing Speaker Kavinder Gupta to adjourn the House twice.
