Addressing a press conference along with BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Media Incharge Dr Pardeep Mahotra at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here today, Sunil Sethi said that the opinion polls in Delhi indicate a strong surge in support for the BJP, reinforcing the party’s confidence in securing a majority in the Assembly elections. He said that according to multiple surveys, BJP is projected to gain a decisive edge over its rivals, particularly the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), reflecting growing public trust in its governance and leadership.
Sunil Sethi said the polls show that the voters have developed faith in BJP’s emphasis on infrastructure development, law and order and welfare initiatives, which has benefitted a large population, not only in Delhi but the entire country.
“The simple reason why the people of Delhi will be defeating AAP is that this party was in power for two terms but did not fulfill its poll promises. The people have realized that AAP only misleads on false promises and forgets all after assuming power. On the other hand, the BJP is getting support of the people as its cadre is always at the beck and call of the people,” he said.
Balbir Ram Rattan claimed that the BJP does not lie to the people for vote bank politics. “BJP has always fulfilled its poll promises, which is the reason that the party has been strengthening its base and winning more and more seats in successive elections. It may take time, but BJP fulfills every promise,” he said, while giving the example of abrogation of Article 370 as promised by BJP.
The BJP leaders alleged that National Conference in J&K was also following the policy of AAP of making false promises during the elections and forgetting. The NC has completed almost three months in chair but did not fulfill any of its promises, which itself speaks of its concern towards development and welfare, they added.
