REASI, Sept 23: Only one teacher is running a Govt school in Gran area of district Reasi while despite public requests, no additional teachers have been placed there.
The villagers in a letter flashed to DC Reasi, sought his immediate intervention into the matter.
The villagers alleged that for the last over one year, a Govt teacher had proceeded on long leave while only one teacher has remained posted at GPS Goswan (Gran), zone Reasi.
Against the sanctioned strength of five only, two were placed there and now only one has left for 60 plus students of this Primary school. They said that studies of the children are suffering and when this teacher turns sick or goes on leave, the school remains closed. The CEO and ZEO concerned were approached several times but nobody bothers about it.
