JAMMU, Nov 8: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) leaders today reaffirmed that the NC, with its deep-rooted presence across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir, is the only political force capable of protecting the unity, integrity, and rights of the people of J&K.
This was stated by Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta and others, while leading a campaign trail in the Nagrota Constituency. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of party leaders and workers, including NC candidate for Nagrota, Shamim Begum, senior leaders Vijay Lochan (Chairman SC Cell), Joginder Singh Kaku (DDC Nagrota) and Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta said, “only the National Conference can safeguard the unity, integrity, jobs, and land rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The land-to-the-tiller reform carried out under the historic Naya Kashmir manifesto gave ownership rights to the landless, particularly benefiting people from the SC, ST, OBC, and other backward communities, especially in the Jammu region.”
“After 2019, Jammu has suffered immensely in terms of loss of jobs, contracts, and increasing unemployment. The NC is fully committed to restoring the rights and dignity of our people,” Gupta asserted.
Addressing the gathering, Shamim Begum highlighted the NC’s consistent commitment to the welfare and upliftment of socially and economically disadvantaged sections.
“Successive NC Governments have a proven track record of serving the backward classes. Our focus will remain on ensuring equitable development and empowerment of the SC, ST, OBC, and other weaker sections of society,” she said.
Both the leaders appealed people to strengthen the hands of the National Conference in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, various prominent social workers of Block Bhalwal joined the National Conference at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan Jammu in the presence of Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu. Those, who joined NC, included Sajid Ali, Sahil Shakil, Aman Bargotra, Karmat Choudhary, Ashraf Murtaza, Sahil Khan, Molvi Manzoor, Manzoor Ahmed, Mehmood Raza, Shafiq Ahmad, Bagh Ali, Showket Ali, Arshad, Mustaq Ahmad, Sudam Hussain, Maqbool Hussain, Bashir Ahmad, Zakir Hussain, Zunaid Khan, Sajjad Hussain, Mohd Hanief, Vijay Kumar and others.
