JAMMU, June 28: All State Kashmir Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today showed its full faith and confidence in the Central Government led by Prime Minster, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah so far as settling the long pending issues confronting the displaced Pandits from Valley including their honourable and dignified rehabilitation in accordance to their geo-political aspirations of the community are concerned.
The ASKPC which held an emergency meeting here, today under the leadership of its president R K Wangnoo asked the community not to get mislead by propaganda made by certain elements as community has full faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi and ASKPC is fully confident that if any leader or the party can settle the issue of displaced Pandits and ensure their honourable and dignified rehabilitation in Valley that is only Narendra Modi and BJP.
He said Narendra Modi is the only PM and the BJP is the only party which with one stroke removed the 70-year-old curse of Article 370 & 35A. Doubting his wisdom in calling a meeting of the political leaders of J&K as a sign of weakness in settling the Kashmir issue once for all would be totally misplaced, it added.
The oldest socio-political representative body of Kashmiri Pandits lauded the steps initiated by Prime Minister in bringing about a lasting political solution to the Kashmir problem and at the same time expressed its full faith in Narendra Modi to take into account the aspirations of the forcefully exiled community. Reflecting on the utterances of some community members on the issue of non-inclusion of the community representatives in the recently convened meeting of the Prime Minister, ASKPC stated that the invitees to the meeting were exclusively political leaders of various parties and as such demanding the presence of Kashmiri Pandits in this meeting is simply out of context. ASKPC pointed out that a few community members should not be short of memory and need to have patience, since the Prime Minister, and Home Minister, have the welfare and honourable settlement of the exiles very dear to his heart.
The meeting was attended by its vice president, R K Raina, general secretary, Bharat Bushan Gosani, senior leader, Shuban Ji Pandita, B K Wantoo and Sanjay Pandita.
