JAMMU, July 8: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta today awarded one-year rigorous imprisonment and fine to Mangal Dass, who was alleged involved in kidnapping and rape with a minor.
According to the police case, father of prosecutrix lodged an oral report with Police Station RS Pura to the effect that his daughter aged about 13 years, a student of 7th class had gone to the tailor in order to collect clothes but she did not turn back. On this, police registered a case and after completion of the investigation presented challan.
After hearing APP GS Charak appearing for the State whereas Advocate AK Beotra appearing for the accused, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court observed, “prosecution has proved kidnapping of the girl”. Accordingly, the accused was awarded one year RI and fine of Rs 3000.
