JAMMU, Sept 3: One person was killed and another got injured when two bikes collided in Mishriwala area of city outskirts today.
According to a police official, the mishap occurred at Asarwan Road. In the mishap, one Ramesh Chander son of Rabeli Ram (60), resident of Mishriwala received serious injuries while a 19-year-old youth namely Rajan son of Ravi Kumar of Mishriwala also sustained minor injuries.
They were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Ramesh was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections has been registered at police station Kanachak and further investigation initiated.
