One killed, 2 injured in road accident

RAMBAN, Nov 13: One person died on the spot and two others sustained injuries after a rashly driven truck hit a parked truck near Banihal Bypass on Jammu Srinagar National Highway in early hours today.
Police sources informed that the rashly driven truck was bearing registration number JK20C-4407 and it was on its way to Srinagar.
The negligently driven vehicle went out of the control of its driver and hit a parked truck of Canter make bearing registration number PB10HM-3554 leaving its driver dead on the spot and other two with him injured.
Body of the deceased was shifted to Sub District Hospital Banihal where after postmortem and other legal formalities it was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The deceased was identified as Bablu Kumar, son of Chuni Lal, resident of Maitra, Ramban.
Police has identified the injured persons as Ranjeet Singh, 26, son of Bansi Lal, resident of Maitra, Ramban and Sunil Kumar, 28, son of Bajra Chand, resident of Seri, Ramban.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR number 174 of 2024, Under Section 281/125(a)/106 BNS at Police Station Banihal and started investigation.
