UDHAMPUR, May 1: One person died and two others were injured when a Scorpio vehicle met with an accident after skidding off the road at Saloura near Tikri on Jammu-Udhampur National Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Rishiwar (25), son of Tarseem Lal, resident of Kotli Charkan, Tehsil Bishnah, Jammu. The injured, identified as Rajat Kumar (25) son of Krishan Lal of Kotli Charkan Bishnah Jammu and Manpreet Singh (21) son of Bakshish Singh of Balu Bala Gurdaspur, A/P Kotli Bishnah Jammu, are undergoing treatment at District Hospital Udhampur.
The accident took place late last night when the Scorpio, bearing Registration number JK02CX-9564, skidded off the road and turned turtle at Saloura near Tikri.
Locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Rishiwar as brought dead.
