One held with narcotics

JAMMU, May 22: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has recovered and seized over 5 kilograms of a ganja-like substance at Jammu Railway Station. The contraband was found in possession of a man during routine checking at the station premises.
The accused has been identified as Rajeev Kumar, son of Ramayan Singh, originally a resident of Berwa in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar. He was currently residing in Govindsar, Kathua. Acting swiftly, the GRP personnel detained Kumar and subsequently registered a case against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station GRP Jammu.
Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to ascertain the source and intended destination of the seized narcotic substance.
