DODA, Apr 21: Police here today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 20 grams heroin (chitta) like substance from him.
Cops from Police Station Doda while on Naka checking duty at Ganpat Bridge late last night stopped a Motor Cycle bearing registration number JK02CD/6152 coming from Khellani and moving towards Doda.
The rider disclosed his name as Burhan Imtyaz, son of Imtyaz Ahmed, resident of Irfanabad, Doda.
On his personal search 20 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered.
Accordingly a case in FIR number 88/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta has urged the public to cooperate with Police and provide information about any suspicious activities enabling timely action against the menace.
