DODA, Oct 29: Police here today achieved a success by arresting a person and recovering illicit liquor from him.
As per the sources, cops got specific information that one Mukesh Kumar, son of Chander Bhushan, resident of Sharowah, Doda was involved in the illegal manufacturing of illicit liquor.
Following this, cops from Police Post Khellani led by IC PP Vinod Saini, intercepted him but the accused tried to flee but was caught by the cops.
During his search, about 5 litres of illicit (homemade) liquor and 20 litres of Lahan, along with utensils used for manufacturing illicit liquor were recovered and seized on the spot.
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 240/2025 US 48 (b) (e) of Excise Act was registered at Police Station Doda and investigations started.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, Dy SP Hqrs Doda and SHO Doda.
