JAMMU, Jan 10: One individual was arrested with 10.08 grams of heroin-like substance from Miran Sahib area here, officials said.
During routine patrolling near Simbal Head, Miran Sahib, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib, noticed a suspicious individual, who tried to run away on seeing the police, they said.
He was overpowered at a distance and put to search, officials said, adding that 10.08 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, the accused individual, identified as Anil Kumar of Kullian, Miran Sahib, tehsil RS Pura, district Jammu, was arrested and booked in case FIR number 06/2026 registered under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation taken up, they said.
