DODA, Apr 11: Police here today arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered 4.43 gram heroin-like substance from him.
On the directions of senior officers, cops from Police Post Khellani led by PSI, Raghu Chalotra at routine Naka checking at Khellani intercepted a bus bearing registration number JK02BM-0087 and during its checking one person sitting on the rear seat aroused suspicion.
During his checking heroin-like substance was recovered.
The accused disclosed his identity as Ankit Raina, son of Khushi Ram, resident of Bun, Doda and he was arrested on the spot.
A case in FIR No. 83/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Doda in this regard and investigation started.
