RAMBAN, Feb 8: Police here today arrested a man from Sangaldan area and recovered heroin-like contraband from him.
As per Police sources, cops from Police Post Sangaldan, during a naka checking duty at Tata Pani Road, intercepted a vehicle of Eeco make bearing registration number JK19A-7926.
During search of the driver, cops recovered heroin-like contraband along with an electronic weighing machine from him.
The accused was identified as Muzaffer Hussain, son of Farid Ahmed, resident of Haila Dharam, Tehsil Gool. He was arrested on the spot, and the recovered contraband along with other incriminating material was seized following due legal procedure.
A case in this regard has been registered in FIR with number 04/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
