KISHTWAR, Jan 13: Police here today arrested a drug peddler and recovering heroin-like narcotic substance from him.
While sharing details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh informed that cops from Police Station Marwah, led by SHO Marwah, SI Lal Hussain and PSI Sandeep Singh along with some cops were checking vehicles and pedestrians in Haynan area of Marwah under the supervision of SDPO Marwah, Ravinder Singh.
During patrolling, cops intercepted a vehicle of Alto-800 make bearing registration number JK19-2399.
The vehicle was driven by Junaid Ahmed, son of Shabir Ahmed Wagey, resident of Haynan, Marwah.
During checking cops recovered about 25 gram heroin-like narcotic substance from Junaid and he was arrested on the spot and an FIR with number 01/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Marwah and investigation started.
