RAMBAN, Jan 14: Police here today arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from him.
Sources informed that cops from Police Station Batote got inputs that an individual, habitually involved in illegal sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances for personal monetary gain, was travelling from Jammu/Udhampur to Ramban in a passenger vehicle and was carrying heroin to sell it illegally in Ramban.
Acting promptly, cops intercepted the drug peddler and recovered the contraband from him.
Accordingly, an FIR with No. 04/2026 under Sections 08/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered and investigation started.
