POONCH, Sept 6: Police here today arrested a person and recovered narcotic substance from him.
Sources informed that cops from Police Station Poonch during a routine Naka checking near Dingla apprehended one Sadaqat Ali, son of Mohd Sharif, resident of Chandak, Poonch and during his personal search recovered 2.33 gm heroin-like substance along with cash amounting to Rs. 39,100 from him.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 164/2025 under sections 8, 21, 22 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation started.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was habitual drug smuggler already involved in two previous NDPSA cases.
