KATHUA, May 17: Kathua Police acting tough against drug peddlers and its propagators in the district, recovered Heroin like contraband in the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station and arrested the drug peddler.
A team of Police Station (PS) Rajbagh under the supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal during surprise checking duty, noticed a suspicious person who was directed to stop for checking. Sensing danger, he tried to escape but was nabbed by the police party. On Physical search, approximately 18.5 grams of heroin like contraband was recovered from the possession of accused namely Hanif Ahmed, son of Ibrahim of Shabe Chack.
A case FIR No. 75/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station, Rajbagh in this regard and further investigation is under process.
