DODA, Oct 18: Police here today apprehended one person and recovered Charas like substance weighing approximately 400-500 grams from him.
Cops from Police Station Doda, while on patrolling duty led by SI Mushtaq Ahmed from Pul Doda to Ghat Road, intercepted a suspect who attempted to evade cops but was apprehended.
On his search, a polythene bag was found containing Charas like substance in the form of small balls of varying sizes weighing around 400-500 grams.
The accused was identified as Mansoor Ahmed, son of Habib Ullah Khan, resident of Lorthow, Panchayat Sunarthawa, Tehsil Chiralla, District Doda.
Accordingly, a case in FIR No. 232/2025 under Sections 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
The entire operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, DySP Hqrs Doda, Ajay Anand and SHO Police Station Doda Inspector Parvaiz Khanday.
