RAMBAN, Feb 22: Police here today arrested a man in Chanderkote and seized 510 gram charas from him.
Official sources informed that, Police Station Chanderkote received reliable information that one Naresh Singh, son of Krishan Chand, resident of Dugga, Bibrota, Tehsil Rajgarh, was in illegal possession of Charas and was transporting the contraband towards Chanderkote.
Acting promptly on the tip-off, cops registered an FIR with number 16/2026 under Sections 8/20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and launched an investigation.
During probe, the suspect was intercepted and apprehended on Chanderkote-Rajgarh road. On his search in the presence of Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses, cops recover 510 gram Charas.
The accused was taken into custody and investigation in the case was started.
