RAMBAN, May 28: Police here today arrested a youth and recovered 7 gram of heroin from him at Kali Passi area on Karool-Maitra link road.
On the directions and supervision of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, Ramban Police made the recovery.
During a routine patrolling and traffic regulation duty at Kala Passi on Karol-Maitra link road a pedestrian heading to Maitra from Jaiswal Bridge under suspicious circumstances attempted to flee after noticing cops but the alert Policemen chased and apprehended him and on his physical search seven grams heroin was recovered. Police said Basharat Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Dachan Gool, Tehsil Gool District Ramban was arrested on spot. Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR number104 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act at Police Station Ramban and started investigation.
