JAMMU, Sept 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Miran Sahib area today claimed to have arrested an accused in attempt to murder case.
A police official said the case FIR number 118/2025 under the relevant sections of the law was filed on the complaint of one Sunita Kumari, who reported that her brother, Raj Kumar, was attacked with sharp-edged weapons at Village Bahadur Khan in Bishnah.
Acting swiftly, he said, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station apprehended one Deepak Kumar of Bahadur Khan.
According to the police official, the accused is a habitual offender and has previously been involved in four criminal cases at different police stations.
He said the incident had caused panic in the locality, but the prompt action of the police has brought relief to the residents.
The police official added that further investigation is underway, as more arrests along with recovery of weapons are expected.
