KATHUA, Apr 1: One died due to electrocution, while two others died in separate road mishaps in Hiranagar and its outskirts, today.
According to the reports, a truck driver identified as Ranjeet Singh son of Mohan Singh, a resident of Barnoti, died on the spot when he came in contact with a live wire over his head while putting tarpaulin on truck top to prevent the cement loaded in the truck from rains.
The body of the deceased driver was shifted to district hospital, where after conducting post mortem, his body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, a tipper driver identified as Mohd Rashid, son of Mohd Shafi, was killed in a road mishap that occurred near Londi Morh. The accident occurred when the tipper bearing registration No JK08B-4621, which was on its way from Jammu to Kathua turned turtle near Londi Morh. The seriously injured tipper driver was shifted to a nearby hospital from where later he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to GMCH.
In another road mishap that happened this evening at Hirachak, a bike-borne youth was hit by an unknown vehicle. In the mishap, the biker identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Santokh Singh, a resident of Rajbagh, received serious injuries. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital from where later he was referred to GMCH Jammu. However, he expired on the way to GMCH.
