RAJOURI, Oct 8: A tragic road accident occurred this evening near the Sports Stadium on the Kheora-Darhali bridge road in Rajouri, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another.
The deceased has been identified as Intikhab Alam, son of Late Mohd Shafi Lone, resident of Rajouri. The accident took place when two motorcycles met head-on-collision near the stadium, leaving both riders severely injured.
Upon receiving the information, a police team from Police Station Rajouri, led by SHO Rajouri Inspector Abid Hussain Shah, promptly reached the spot. The injured were immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri for medical treatment, where Intikhab Alam, succumbed to his injuries.
The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the rider of the other motorcycle involved in the collision.
