RAJOURI, Dec 24: One person was killed while two others were injured in a road accident at Kakora in Manjakote area of Rajouri district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a Tata Mobile vehicle collided with a motorcycle at Kakora, resulting in serious injuries to three persons, who were immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for treatment.
One of the injured persons, identified as Mohd Aqib Khan (15), son of Mohd Rayasat Khan, resident of Kakora, Manjakote, succumbed to injuries and was declared brought dead at GMC Rajouri. The other injured persons have been identified as Shafiq Khan (19), son of Ali Shain, resident of Kakora, Manjkote, and Saqib Khan (14), son of Mohd Rasib Khan, resident of Kakora, Manjkote. Both are undergoing treatment at GMC Rajouri, where their condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary legal proceedings to ascertain the cause of the accident.
