DODA, July 19: District Police Doda here today detained one Hafizullah, son of Late Mohd Iqbal, resident of village Nilote, Assar under Public Safety Act (PSA).
The detention order was issued by District Magistrate Doda on the basis of dossier from SSP Doda stating that Hafizullah’s sacrilegious act had led to public order situation in the area. The detention order issued by DM Doda aimed at maintaining public order and communal harmony in the district.
District Administration Doda has appealed to the public to respect religious sentiments of all communities while maintaining that any such act aimed at wilfully causing communal discord and hampering public order shall be dealt strictly under law.
