JAMMU, Jan 23: One day conference of Government Service Assistants (GSA) of PHE Division Samba CP Workers was held under the presidentship of Ranjit Singh, in which hundreds of employees participated.
In the conference, the employees discussed over the recently released SRO 520.
On the occasion, Kulbushan Singh, President of Provincial Association was specifically invited, who in his address said that the shortcomings of SRO such as non-payment of DA, MA, HRA and other pensionery benefits are a matter of concern for workers and employees, for which our fight will continue. Apart from this, the employees showed their concern over the non implementation of SRO 43 in respect of employees who have been benefited through SRO 520.
Ranjit Singh said that in the year 2011, the CP Workers had announced the path of struggle and after a gap of seven years, Government considered our demands and released SRO 520. Now again, we will remain united for achieving other rights due to 61000 employees coming under GSA, he added.
In the conference of PHE Division Samba GSA employees, a committee was framed wherein Ranjit Singh was re-elected as its President, Tara Chand as Secretary, Faquir Chand as Vice President, Mohammad Sharief as organizer, Raj Kumar as Cashier and Maan Singh as Advisor.
In the conference, provincial office bearers were invited to monitor the committee including Mushtaq Ahmed from Doda, Rakesh Kumar from Jammu, Ranjit Katoch from Udhampur, Birbal Jalmeria from Biliawar, etc.
In the end, State President Sajjad Parey presented vote of thanks.
