JAMMU, Dec 8: A man was arrested today along with 51 pouches of illicit liquor in Bhor Camp area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, during naka checking near Bhor Camp High School, police intercepted a scooter-borne man and on checking recovered 51 pouches of 250 ml each of desi liquor (frooties), which he was carrying for illegal sale in Govindpur area of Chatha.
The accused identified as Vinod Kumar son of Tek Ram, a resident of Ward No 2, Bhor Camp, was arrested and the recovered illicit liquor seized.
The arrest was made by Incharge, Police Post, Chatha, SI Krishan Raina under the supervision of SHO Satwari, Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South, Sachin Gupta, SP South, Shahzad Salaria and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
In this connection, a case FIR No 269/2015 u/s 48 A Excise Act stands registered in police station Satwari.
