SAMBA, Oct 1: Based on specific information from DSB Samba, a Police Party of PS Ghagwal led by SI Rajeshwar Singh , SHO Ghagwal and under close supervision of Tanveer Ahmed, DySP Hqrs Samba laid a surprise naka at Link road Sangwali and apprehended one Ashwani Khajuria S/o Gopal Khajuria R/o Sangwali and recovered 600 gm poppy flower (Doday) from his possession.
The accused person was arrested on spot along with contraband items. In this regard case FIR No. 88/2017 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal & investigation is going on.
It may be recalled that District Police Samba has launched a drive against the menace of the drugs on the direction of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
