Omar released Rs 3 cr for works in Beerwah: Tanvir

BEERWAH,  Feb 4: On the directions of former Chief Minister and MLA Beerwah  Omar Abdullah, his political secretary  Tanvir Sadiq  today visited various areas in Beerwah constituency and reviewed progress on various development works initiated in the area.
Mr Sadiq paid visit to areas like Narbal, Magam, Watalpora, Rusoo, Razwan, and Beerwah and interacted with people along the way and sought progress of various developmental works being executed in Beerwah constituency.
While interacting with public delegations Tanvir said that after 13 years this area is seeing development on war-footing. “Beerwah constituency has been neglected by the previous MLAs.  Development works of around Rs 3 crores are under progress or completed  in the Constituency”, Tanvir said.
On the instructions of NC working president and MLA Beerwah Omar Abdullah, Tanvir released Rs 2 lakh  in Watalpora and Rs 2 lakh for Rusoo people, for improving drinking water supply and purchase of pipes.
While addressing a large gathering in Beerwah,  Tanvir Sadiq said that none of the promises made by the PDP-BJP Government in District Development Committee meetings  were fulfilled. “This proves how much they are neglecting the Beerwah Constituency”, the NC leader added.
Among others, Mirwaiz Central Kashmir, Block president Narbal and Block president Beerwah were present on the occasion.
