JAMMU, Oct 14: Senior leader and Provincial president Jammu JKNC, Rattan Lal Gupta said that the Omar Abdullah-led Government has successfully completed one year of dedicated service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, marking a period of unprecedented progress and people-oriented governance.
It is Omar led Government, not the LG administration which has truly restored democracy and development in Jammu and Kashmir that has brought back the spirit of democratic governance and people’s participation after years of bureaucratic misrule.
In a statement issued here today Gupta highlighted the achievements of Omar Abdullah Government and said the Govt has initiated numerous developmental projects and welfare schemes across almost every department — including Roads & Buildings, Jal Shakti, Irrigation & Flood Control, Health, Forest, Education, Higher Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Power Development despite deliberate obstructions by Centre and LG administration. Significant functioning improvements have also been made in the Revenue, Food & Supplies, Cooperatives, and Sports Departments, ensuring that development reaches every section of society. All these initiatives are being implemented in line with the Budget passed by the J&K Legislative Assembly, reflecting the people’s mandate and aspirations, he added.
