JAMMU, Feb 7: Working President National Conference Omar Abdullah today discussed the overall political scenario prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir with senior party functionaries here.
The meeting lasted for over two hours.
Earlier, a delegation from Leh District met the Working President and apprised him of various problems faced to the people.
Led by senior party leader and former minister, Tsetan Namgyal, the delegation brought to the notice of Mr Abdullah the exorbitant air fare between New Delhi and Leh and urged him to take up the issue at appropriate level for remedial measures.
The delegation comprised Councillors P. Wangdan, Ghulam Mehdi, Nazir Khan Sr. Vice President Mohd Usman, Mohd Ismail, Mohd Sadiq and Mohd Baqir.
On the occasion, Parvez Ahmed, a prominent leader from Leh joined National Conference.
Mr Omar Abdullah hoped that joining of Parvez Ahmed will further strengthen the party at grass roots level in the Leh District.
