SRINAGAR Apr 8:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed his solidarity and condolence with the families of Army and police personnel killed in an encounter in Kupwara.
In his condolence message to Army, State Police Force and the bereaved families, Mr Abdullah expressed his solidarity with them and conveying sympathy.
He also highlighted the bravery of jawans to combat militancy and protect the lives and property of the people of the State.
A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and one policeman were killed while three personnel of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, including an officer, were injured in a fierce encounter in the frontier district of Kupwara since yesterday. Two militants were also killed in the encounter. (AGENCIES)
