JAMMU, May 31: Monthly meeting of Old Janipur Civil Society Action Committee was held here today.
Speakers in the meeting said that equipments of open air gym in the area are in dilapidated condition since the last three years and needs repair or replacement.
They also demanded renovation/repair of bathroom at JDA Park Janipur and also raised the demand of installation of CCTV cameras in the park to check open consumption of liquor and other objectionable activities which disturb the senior citizens on morning and evening walks in the park.
More demands raised on the occasion included that of proper maintenance of the park as it is in dilapidated condition.
The demand of appointing a watchman in the park was also raised with the demand of cutting unwanted branches of old trees, covering of main hole, construction of hall for senior citizens, maintenance of Nag Temple and repair of non-functioning solar lights.
The meeting was attended by Sandeep Parihar, Charan Dass, Daleep Tickoo, Kulwant Singh, Sheel Abrol, B.M Singh, R.L Bhat, Anil Bhasin, Buty Ram, Rajat Sambyal, Rattan Sharma, Prabh Dayal, Satvir Singh, Vidya Bhushan, Jagdish Jamwal, Satpal, Uttam Singh, Bansi Verma, R.S Jamwal, Lovely Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Harnam Singh and others.
