JAMMU, May 8: A meeting of Old Janipur Civil Society Action Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh Sambyal.
Members of the Committee decided to meet concerned authorities in JDA to raise the issues of the locality.
They raised these issues as repair of public bathrooms at JDA Park Old Janipur, installation of CCTV cameras at this Park connected with the nearest Police Station as the residents near the Park suffer due to open consumption of liquor by some people in the Park and others playing football, cricket and cycling in the Park which disturbs the morning and evening walkers there.
The demand of proper maintenance of the Park was also raised along with the demand of appointing some gardener so that the Park can be beautified.
Other demands included that of construction of a hall for senior citizens and a Nag temple in the Park.
The meeting was attended by Charan Dass, R.L Bhat, Ashwani Sharma, Buti Ram, Sheel Abrol, Ravi Sharma, Vidya Bhushan, Rajat Sambyal, Rakesh Kumar, Harnam Singh, Ashwani Puri, Bittu Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Rajan Dhar, Sandeep Singh, A.K Gupta, Tara Chand, Rakesh, Subash, B.P Singh and others.
