DODA, Sept 6: Police today arrested seventh Over Ground Worker (OGW) in the terror financing case, which stands registered with Peer Mitha Police Station at Jammu.
As per police sources, in a joint operation launched by Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu, SOG Doda and 10 RR of Indian Army, seventh OGW was arrested from Bino area of Chiralla in district Doda.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohabbat Hussain, son of Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Bino area of Chiralla in district Doda.
On the disclosure of OGW, a hideout was busted in Suidhar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Doda Police Station. One Pika gun, 54 rounds, 1 empty box and 1 empty belt were recovered from the hideout.
It is pertinent to mention here that SOG of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on August 8 this year arrested 6 Over-Ground Workers (OGWs) of Pakistan-backed terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba in connection with the terror-financing case probe. Mohabbat Hussain was the seventh OGW, who has been arrested in the case.
A case under relevant sections of law already stands registered at Peer Mitha Police Station and investigation is going on.
